Egg Drop

Today we had an egg drop.  We each got a raw egg and a baggie. We could put whatever we wanted in the bag to protect the egg.   First we all dropped our eggs off the bottom step. Some of  survived but lots of the eggs broke.  The ones that did not break tried to drop theirs from the bench and all but one egg broke.  The persons egg who survived the bench drop, dropped his egg from the top of the playground and it still survived!  We learned that water was not a good protector because the egg just sunk to the bottom and broke. Rocks were also not good protectors. We learned that a syrafoam cup was a good protector.  On Wednesday we will try it again and this time we can bring supplies from home if we want.
