Bodies of Water

Today we made a painting of water with water colour paints.  We dabbed the brush rather than painting with strokes and our papers were really wet.  At the end we put salt on it.  They looked really cool when they dried.
We finished our bodies of water book today.  Some of the bodies of water we looked up were creeks, rivers and bays.  There  was also lakes, oceans and ponds.  We looked up what each of the words meant on the Ipad and then we wrote what was important in our book.  We learned that a pond is a small circle of water that is smaller than a lake and surrounded by land.
